We can stop forest fire expansion

sebelo

Sebelo - compact, energy-efficient sensors for early wildfire detection. Equipped with gas, temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors, they detect smoke and fire indicators at an early stage. The devices use LoRaWAN for long-range, low-power data transmission, making them ideal for remote forest areas. When smoke is detected, the sensors trigger instant alerts with GPS location to help prevent fire spread and protect nature.

The world is on fire

Ecology

In 2019 in Australia, more than 1 billion animals died in forest fires

Economy

$140 billion annual financial damage

Global warming

Forest fires contribute to a 20% share of global CO2 emissions

Future

Amazon forests (called the “Earth lungs“) lost more than 2 million acres of forest during the 2019 forest fires

Technology

LoRaWAN based technology

smokeSense

About us

Sebelo provides a cutting-edge early wildfire detection solution using advanced environmental sensors and LoRaWAN communication technology. Our mission is to reduce the risk and impact of forest fires by offering ultra-early detection—often under 60 minutes—from deep within forested areas.

The Sebelo system combines gas sensors (capable of detecting volatile organic compounds), temperature, humidity, and pressure sensors, all integrated into a robust and weather-resistant device. These sensors are deployed in forests and transmit real-time data over long distances to a centralized platform via LoRaWAN, a low-power, long-range communication network.

Our AI-powered analytics platform processes sensor data to detect smoke and early fire indicators. When a threat is detected, immediate alerts are sent via app, SMS, or email with precise GPS locations, enabling a rapid response that can save ecosystems, properties, and lives.

Sebelo is part of the IT4EST initiative, co-funded by the EU, focused on sustainable forest management. Our system is scalable, integrates with existing fire response tools, and is designed for deployment in both remote and developed regions.
